Default Anodising Kits - anyone used one?

Hi guys,

I'm planning to get the brake bells on my Escort re-anodised this year. I see you can buy anodising kits from the likes of Frost for around £100. Are these kits any good? I'm just weighing up whether I should buy the anodising kit or pay someone to do it?

Cheers,

Agar

I had a 2 x bells and 2 x brackets Hard Anodized in Birmingham for the pricely sum of £15 it's hardly worth buying your own kit which i'd imagine wont be a patch on the industrial size things that an proper anodizes will have.

Rich, I've been looking at this a lot lately and agree with the above.
I've found a couple of places locally for the new project, that should be able to do it, but i haven't used them yet.
There's also a good/cheap place in Manchester that could probably do it as well, six and half a dozen if it's local or not, it would still be better and cheaper than buying the kit i think.

Give Bon Accord metals a shout, they definitely electro/zinc plate parts and I think they will anodize as well.

Didn't realise it was that cheap! I had it in my head that it would be pretty pricey.

If that's the case I'll try a local place as you suggest Rog . If the finish doesn't turn out that well, I can always use the place Sonic Boom suggested or Peterborough Plating.
