I'm not particularly sure where to head to next. I'm not looking for huge amounts of power but I would like to get it around the 155bhp mark.
I'm pushing the turbo hard, in fact I had the boost dropped because the turbo was making some loud whines and whistles past 35psi. It's currently maxing out at 33psi and don't really want to push it any harder.
Power is currently looking like this...

As you can see the power isn't so much a curve, more a straight line. As a result it quite often feels slow even though you're making decent progress.
Currently the engine has a Stage One map, EGR delete, decat and a performance exhaust.
I'll be happy with another 10bhp and I'd like to hit the 400nm mark (7nm to go!) but I don't want to raise boost any further.
So where do I go?
Is an aftermarket intercooler on it's own likely to give me the extra bit of power I want without adjusting the fueling or boost?
In my head the cooler temperatures mean that the diesel will combust better and give me more power but I'm not convinced.
What about water/methanol injection? Are these systems any good on a diesel?
Is there anything else I should consider?
Thanks in advance, Sam.

Suppose with such large boost pressures the charge temps will be quite warm.
I guess I need to find out if the 2.0 TDCi and the 1.8TDCi have the same intercooler. If they do then I'll get an airtec intercooler on order.
I have a funny feeling the 1.8TDCi has the same intercooler as a MK2 Focus ST.

The Mondeo has a front mounted intercooler so is easy enough to upgrade.
I'm not too sure about air filter upgrades.
For a start there's no company that makes a pipe to house the MAF.
I would like a BMC CDA with a cold air feed in the front grille.

I put an induction kit on my 1.8tdci, got another air box and cut the part off that houses the maf, then mounted the filter to that. Sounded a bit throatier but that was it. Seemed to do a bit less mpg too. Still got it in the garage if you want it! I have seen an airtec focus st intercooler fitted to one, although it lines up with the original hoses etc, a bit of jiggery pokery will be needed with the mountings.

Had a good nose around online and this looks just like what I'm after!

I think I need to measure my intake pipe to see if it's got a 70mm diameter and I need to measure the MAF on a Fiesta ST to ensure mine will fit.
