When my battery went flat, and I jumped it off a brand new one, both my window's went up and down at normal pace, now, they are quite slow, could be related to your problem, if not, use them a bit more, don't really have the windows open in winter so you can expect them to be a little stiff.

Me too!

It's quicker to give the passenger one a hand and push the glass down!

just found this on www.escortrsturbo.co.uk

DIY Fixing Slow Electric Windows

If Your Electric Windows Are Very Slow

This is an easy one, what has probably happened is that the runner that the window sits in has drifted out of the metal frame that supports it. This causes the glass to force the soft insert somewhere it doesn't want to go. The cure for this is to whip off the door panel and get the stickiest silicon you can buy and pile it into the metal frame that the runner sits in - then shove the runner in hard, move the window to the down position for an hour to force it into place.

This should give you speedy windows for the rest of the cars life!

Also the wires which run in the door shut, ie from car to door, get broken and have only a few strands left to them.....Have a llok see at the wiring .

Had a alarm and total closure fitted to my old rst and had all the wiring renewed from car to doors...Made one ell of a difference...Speedy wernt the word!!

turbo might help

sorry, no, as said, I've had this happen on a few cars, get inside it, make a few adjustements, maybe even a bit of oil in the mechanism, will be an easy fix I'm sure
