moondust silver paint help
Hi i painted a section of a panel with halfords moondust silver but has come up to dark i have now gone and bought genuine ford moondust will this be a better match also could someone tell me the best procedure ie how many coats of basecoat and how many clearcoat and do i wet sand during coats please.

Hi i wanted some bits tidied up on my moondust silver rs2k last year, when i went to the paint shop they couldnt fimd am exact colour match, then pulled out a chart with about 80 different shades of moondust! I ended up getting the whole car blown over as it was impossible to find a match!

thanks for replys guys yer does seem to be a nightmare just cant seem to get it nowhere near i was wondering if it could be stardust silver instead but when gave fords me reg for my ST170 03 plate it came up as moondust might av to get to workshop then any ideas how much to do a back quarter panel
