Default Pedal boxes

What's the obvious difference between floor mounted pedal boxes and top mounted ones? Is it just personal preference? I have also been told that a floor mounted one involves fab work to the shell?

Cheers

I am using a floor mounted peddle box and yes you may need to modify/strengthen the mounting area/floor pan for obvious reasons.

Seating position may influence your choice, with a bulk head box you push down and forward on the peddle where a floor mounted you just push forward this suits a lower seated position where your legs straighter.

Its abit like driving a BMW with there different style throttle peddle set up.

What ever you do don't use a OBP box there total crap.

That explains what I need to know really I was only looking at the OBP as it's focus specific but might have to look at somthing like the tilton 600 series they seem to have good reports.
What box have you got in? And have you got the three resivour system under the bonnet?

Cheers

I have OBP and be will taking it out and swapping for the tilton over the winter, I have three separate reservoirs but mounted in car, tilton do a combined three way bottle that sits on top of the master cylinders.

Have you thought about what your going to do with servo, if its a road car I would consider keeping a servo in the system.
