Default FTAO people whos had both big turbo and small turbo escos

Basically is the small T really that much more responsive than the big T? I have always said big t is the one to have, is more desireable and better options....but i WONT be going big power...

I have a small turbo and it is far more responsive than my old saph 4x4 on the road, on track it does run out of puff at the top end,
as a road car not many can argue that is isn't the best standard cosworth of them all.

mine was a small turbo when i got it then i wanted big power and converted it to large but with the GT28 roller bearing turbo, it has no lag, pulls from 2500rpm right up past the redline in every gear and just keeps pulling like a V8, deffo the way forward for large turbo cars that dont want stupid lag

I've had both, well set up stage one big turbo, and currently a GGR 305 small turbo- which i've not had set up yet....

I prefer the small turbo in everyway, i didnt drive the car till i was bringing it home and tbh wasnt expecting much- i loved it, suits my driving style down to the ground .......... go and drive one, think you'll be suprised!

i really wouldnt mind someone letting me have a drive in an escy.

like people say, i actually might *hate* the way it drives

it would go one of 3 ways

a) I wont like how it drives and look elsewhere
b) I'll love it and continue saving for one
or

c) HAVE to have one and remortgage my house

The trouble with small turbos is they run out of puff too easy.....for me a t34 .63 is the absolute minimum for a proper feeling road car imo.

I dont understand the ''run out of puff' ! They have virtually the same 0-60 time(small t slightly edges) and a similar top speed

ALSO

I AM THICK AS FOOK My mate who comes with me to view cars as he is a paint sprayer etc has a small Turbo...ill drive his Christ empty head or wot

Ditto that statement.....

All depends on what you want from the car...... no more than stg 1 go small turbo..... 300+bhp gotta be large turbo

Lee, Just go for a mint car regardless if small or big! Ive decided that miles, history and condition are the main points! After all if you crave the power you can always convert it!

As std the small turbo is far nicer to drive but I prefered my 335 GGR big turbo. A mapped big turbo with a 55 ex housing drives better than a small turbo.
Small turbo rocker cover looks light years nicer as well.
