"It seems [Monday's] earthquake did not trigger a tsunami," Prihar Yadi, a scientist with the Indonesian Geophysics Agency, told AP.
Wasn't a tsunami, but was a fookin HUGE earth quake! 8.7

They did warn there could be a Tsunami...we evacuated all our customers (I work for a major travel giant)......all is ok now though...we just sent this out......

As you will be aware from recent news coverage an earthquake measuring 8.5 on the Richter scale has been reported in Indonesia. The quake struck 6 miles under the Indian Ocean, in the Andaman Sea, 125 miles off the coast of Sumatra.

The Pacific tsunami warning centre issued a warning to authorities to evacuate coastlines within 600 miles of its epicentre however we can now confirm that tsunami warnings have now been withdrawn from all areas.

Still fookin big quake though
