ive met loads of people of forums, most are exactly what you take them for..
boring anoraks who know the torque value for ever single bolt on the car according to the haynes bible (or comic if you have ever used one ), yet have never got there hands diry ... then theres people like smiler258, dojj, mick who are cool and actually go out of there way to help you! Dojj truly does know the size and torque of every bolt on a sierra, and probably the thread pitch if he thought for a second or two! A complete nutter but a totally cool guy on couple of times Ive met him :th:
Smiler258 is as you would expect a young sierra nut, weird and obsessed with the details of his car, and if possible would have an numbers matching (and lining up perfectly with exactly 0.0001 microns of paint on the head of the bolt ), but a great welder and has made me into a proficient welder in no time at all (you twat - youve got me fixing problems I didnt know i had <- Real tears from sparks in my ears )
Rod / Mark Shead are two people I would like to meet - and shake there hands for what they have both achieved, and ask them for any tips on getting a non-cosworth sierra upto 150 mph
how would I describe myself? I am Me, in the famous words of the late greate Rik Mayall a complete and utter, utter, utter twat

The truth about forum meet-ups?
http://sniffpetrol.com/2014/06/19/fo...than-expected/
There was disappointment today as a car forum meet-up turned out to be much less interesting than the forum itself.
I was really looking forward to the meet, admitted forum member Stenn Preebs, better known as RSwarrior25. But for some reason, the amazing banter thats always on the forum didnt really happen in a pub just outside Bicester.
I dont know what went wrong, stammered regular forum contributor Kip Gresting, known to other members as AMGThunderKing. I thought things might liven up when Sparky325i arrived. You know Sparky. Total ledge. The guy who always replies So SHE said! Hes the Bantermeister. The madman in chief. The forum loon. He started the infamous cheese-on-toast thread, Gresting noted. But he was actually a pretty quiet guy.
Its weird. All the people who are interesting and crazy and argumentative on the forum were there. BeerBucket, ShaggerManMR2, ThrustLaserBeemerBoy, that bloke whose user name is just his real name without a space in it. I thought it was going to be epic, mumbled forumite Trent Gnur, also known as ChainsawGTI. But in real life its almost as if they were just a bunch of socially awkward single men or something.

And met Tonysierra4x4 off here. Absolute legend, swapped me 2.0l twincam for a specced up xr4x4. Let me strip the twincam of all the parts I wanted, And let me have tons of parts while I was down there. I swear I brought home about 12 headlights that day And I'm getting a dashboard and a few more parts too! He's one of the most selfless people you'd ever wish to meet. He even bought me and my dad a full english So hats off to you mate, I'll buy the lunch next time round
