Default Scraping a car shell

I've just stripped my Mondeo (injectors went again) got just the shell here, I have had a local scrap man knock and ask if he can take the shell,

my question is does he need to be authorised to take a car? Do I need a certificate or anything? do i need him to sign log book or anything?

Cheers Brian

If he taking waste away I think he needs to be have a license (a waste carriers licesnce) and yes I would make him the log book.

But to be on the safe side so there no come back I would try a local scrap merchant and get a certificate of destruction

yellow section on log book both parties to sign and the green section declaration
you both got to sign it, chisel the silver vin plate off, chuck in the bin
scrap man doesn`t take any paperwork,
its on your neck so sign it and return complete v5c to dvla
you won`t have any comebacks if you do it right

Tick the scrap box in section 4 I believe sign it and send it off to the dvla after he's picked it up.

Be careful with this dvla are getting tight on having disposal certificates, my mate did the same stripped a car and weighted the shell in, sent log book off but they wouldn't except it with out a disposal cert.
