my neighbour had a crash the other week, illegal minicab driver smashed into the back of her puma

no insurance and then he gave her a sob story about having a wife and kids to feed and how he couldn't afford to pay for anything etc etc

now, if it were me i'd be on the phone to plod and getting him arrested, but she said fine and let him on his way because she doesn't want her insurance to go up after making a claim

so this week she's on her way home and she rear ends another driver

they exchanged details but she hasn't called her insurance company because she is under the misunderstanding that her insurance will go up next year if she claims, oblivious to the fact that the other guys going to claim and it's going to go up in any case

and if she had made the claim last week she'd be in a different car and might not have rear ended the guy she rear ended this week

can you explain your reasoning as to why this wouldn't have happened if shed made the claim last week?

 

If she'd made a claim the first time it would have taken an uninsured illegal driver off the road and the insurance company would have given her a courtesy car and then wrote hers off

Not to say she wouldnt have crashed that, but you are less likely too

 

I upset my neighbour by putting a bag of rubbish in there wheelie bin and the cheeky lesso come knocking on my door at 12.15am kicking off about it.

 

I still don't understand why she would be less likely to crash it because it was a courtesy car? what happened on that day happened. I don't believe that would change because the car was different.

I suppose anything could happen but realistically a couple of weeks on she would have settled back into her routine of normality and the crash would still have happened anyway . if you were to throw sods law into the equation the crash would still have happened in the courtesy car but she would also have wiped out a passing bus load of nuns and orphans out on their annual holiday day trip.

 

but how do you know that if you didn't wear odd socks you might be a multi millionaire with a string of page 3 birds on your arm?
