noticed it was out the other day so changed the bulb checked the wiring everything looked ok so gave it a test still wasn't lighting up,so checked the fuse numb 84 in the hand book and it was alright any one know whats me next move has any one had this problem before 55 diswell focus cheers

 

you will have a faulty reverse switch on the gearbox fella. cheap and easy fix

its at the front of the gearbox. easy enough to find, just looks like a hexagon head with a multi plug going to the centre of it with 2 wires. just unclip the plug and unscrew old one and replace .

is it on a fiesta? if so check your green relay..... some times they burn out and this happens!

 

Put the wipers on then select reverse. If the rear wiper does not come on then it'll be the switch. If it does then it's something else!

 

I guess you could pull the plug and short the two wires to prove the switch is faulty. Ignition on of course...
