I got there with my local group about 8.45am thinking we're gonna be in a cue. Get to the ticket booth one car in front of me and sailed straight to our stand
.
It was a good show but very quiet, the quietist by a long way

Honestly, it was that bad.
No queue, there were more clothing trade stalls than "proper" car-related,weather threatened and did rain a couple of times (only light mind you), no real interest felt in the vibes I could feel. Some of the grandstand has been dismantled and even then the stands were not even partly full except for the Jet Car.
Got there early, purchased some audio for the Golf and waited for Steve (Cossie4i) who got there with me and parked in front of me to leave and then did the same straight after the second Jet Car.
Was meant to bring 2 cars, cabby and the 4x4 but was unable to swap the cabby for the 2000e for overnight parking Sat night so only came in the 4x4. Glad we saved the fuel in all honesty and my other half has made me promise not to attend next year (threatened me).
If this is a taste for what is to come for Classic Ford, they are in for one hell of a shock.

It was a lot quieter than usual and a lot less stands, no Performance Ford stand, no Fast Ford stand, no Oddkidd crew very quiet...
But I still really enjoyed it! A lot of classic and retro style fords, lots of Foci, a super quick mk1 escort with Cossie power.
Only see one saff go up the strip and he appeared to blow his diff first run, no 3 dr's running no other saffs, two or three escort Cossies....
All the rest were parked up on stands, a good variety there just not running...
Shame as the weather held out too....
Cheers Paul

The weather held out and there was a nice bit of sunshine.
However, what a poor turn out! I've just been going through my panning shots of the track, and realised its the same 10-11 cars in each set of pictures
and some of them where audi's, golfs and BMW's.
As for Fords
Only saw one Escort Cosworth on the track, and he just pootled one run.
Two Escort Rs Turbos did a few runs, and the rest was either the handful of old skool fords or Focus Rs's.
The trader stands where a joke, even saw a dude selling "i'd rather push a vauxhall then drive a ford" stickers

Was ok if all you wanted to look at is a mk2 frs or st?
If it wasn't for the more interesting stuff going down the strip would have been very boring!
But at least the weather held up, and to be fair if I wasn't so close I prob wouldn't have risked it either!

Best part for me was harris motorsport they had a few quick classics there,i think the mk1 off the tv show was there, only thing that was odd was that it had spot lights????

We had 29 tickets and passes sold but I reckon only half turned up. I'd been checking the weather all week and every daily update it got worse so I think that May of put a lot of people off.

Sure the weather put a lot off. We went and had a good day, sure it was quiet but we got to keep going to support these shows or there won't be going for much longer!
Strip action was ok, wennys escort incredible as always, the mk2 Rs focus didn't seem quick at all.

MK3 escort is great to watch, must agree with you aint seen a seriously quick Mk2 Focus RS yet up the strip considering loads are doing over 500bhp now. The Demon Performance mk1 Focus RS was rapid think he did 12.5.

I made the trip down from Northumberland, and enjoyed it. Could have done with more traders, and as usual the star of the track was the 4x4 Mk3 Escort and the Mk1&2 Escorts.
Took a mate of mine who is new school to the core, and made him think twice on my love for the old stuff.
Think Classic Ford will be crammed as usual.

The show was a bit poor but I think it was due to the weather I can't believe it didn't rain. The weather report on the BBC showed heavy rain from 10 to 1pm, it didn't rain at all even tho there was some dirty dark rain cloud above the track.
