Default External wastegate help

Just fitted a Borg Warner s200 turbo with external waste gate to my mates focus rs mk2 and now the boost won't come in till around 4000-4500 revs, has anyone got any ideas on why this is?

Cheers

More details needed. Twin or single port? How is piped? No boost at all till 4500?

You can't just change the wastegate without having the ECU recalibrated either.

As above, lots of variables. And lots of units in the S200 range....S200 being an oil journal turbo too.

And is it a new turbo and new w/g, or just a new turbo ?

And what way have you the w/g configured as far as control plumbing ?
