STREET RACERS - A biker clocked going up to 140mph on a Birmingham trunk road has been handed six points on his licence and a hefty fine − the latest speeder caught in our clampdown on street racers.
Anwar Hussain, from Kenelm Road in Small Heath, appeared before city magistrates on Monday (March 3) to admit racing with a fellow biker along Fort Parkway, near the Spitfire Island, on August 18 last year.
Officers recorded the 46-year-old tearing along the dual carriageway at 138mph alongside Amjad Hussain, from Lyttleton Road in Stechford, as part of an operation targeting motorists intent on using public roads as personal drag strips.
Anwar Hussain − who initially denied speeding but later changed his plea − was ordered to pay a total of £647 in fines and charges and had his licence endorsed with six points, whilst Amjad Hussain also admitted speeding, was given six points, and told to pay £325 in fines and costs at a court hearing earlier this year.
Audi driver Jonathan Phillips, from Beechcroft Park Road in Claverdon, and BMW driver Mohammed Nazeer from Rea Street in Digbeth, were both caught driving in excess of 120mph during the August 18 initiative.
Phillips admitted speeding, was banned from driving for 56 days and told to pay £465 in fines and costs, whilst Nazeer was hit with a £315 demand and had his licence endorsed with six points after being found guilty.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
If you need to drive for work thay normally only give 6 points but a big fine.
ive been had for the same thing and I was given the option of 6 points and a bigger fine or 2 month ban and small fine.

Also part of the fine is nothing today with the offence in question, Part of the break down of the fines would have included victim costs which is used to fine everyone in court and used as a pool to pay out to a victim when thay have a case involving a victim, Which personaly I think is wrong to fine people for when someone else breaks the law and thay don't have to pay the whole thing.

I was given a 2 month ban for 128, driving was a huge part of my job and it made no difference at all. My friend who I was in convoy with also was banned, as an electrician that was tough, his wife had to drive his van for him.
