Default Lowering a ford focus mk1

Hey guys I was wondering of you can help, I'm looking to buy some springs to lower my car. I'm currently rubbing 17" wheels and was hoping to lower from standard height down 40mm. Any advice is appreciated. If you have any pictures and could state how much you lowered that would be amazing. Thanks .

What sort of advise would you like? How to do the job? You should be ok with lowering it 40m as there is loads of arch space on the focus, if you aint sure how to do thejob get yourself a haynes manual, its a simple enough job to do, just unbolt and swap over really. Have a look in the pictures section of this forum, theres bound to be a few threads there on focus's that will show lowered ones. Hope that helps.

Okay thanks. I was wondering if it could be lowered on 17inch wheels with a tyre of 205/40 to 40mm. My wheels are spaced out to and come out further than the cars body. Thanks.

Why would you space wheels out further than the body as its a mot failure for one unless your going for the chavtastic illegal carlos fandango look or do you simply have the wrong offset wheels to start with ??
