Yesterday and today on my way home from work, my hazard lights came on whilst I was driving. I didn't think much of it yesterday, turned them off and just assumed I'd hit the button by accident. Then today, when I had both hands on the wheel they came on again all on their own. Both times I was braking pretty hard at the time. I've read that it could be the relay?

what car?

hazzard lights on when you are braking "really hard" warn other traffic that you may be experiencing an emergency situation and to look out

it might also be a tell tale sign that you are going too fast

Ha sorry can't believe I missed that off - it's a mk6 fiesta zetec s, 2008.

I thought that too but I've had the car 4 years and had to brake much harder than that before and it's never happened.
