Default What cams for t34.63 YB engine

What is the recommended Cams to use for a YB running:
T34.63
Std compression
Pocketed pistons
55lb injectors

Would standard cams cause any issues ?

Thanks

I would fit a AB07 inlet cam, it holds onto the power better top end and drives like a standard inlet cam low down.

Just drop a nice BD14 on the inlet and leve the ex cam as standerd only problem you will need to put a new spring set in the head

No need for any mods with a AB07 and it has almost as much lift and duration as a BD14

I would have said there were better options out there than an ab07 as surely it is a compromise to make it work with non pocketed pistons?.
Personally though Dave, I'd leave it as it is and enjoy it if you really want to work on a cossie though you are welcome to fix mine for me

Bd 14 over an ab07 - take advantage of the pocketed pistons

Ridgey,

Standard cams wont cause any issue but there are gains to be had by fitting a bigger inlet cam. BD14 would be my preference but i only say that because Mark said it would work well and it did. Leave ex cam as standard
