Going to be running my new build zetec turbo in and I have a near new t34 on it,in looking at fitting a prefilter to the feed to protect the turbo from swarf,
I have fitted a magnetic sump plug already but in after more protection
Any reviews?? Or opinions????

Also what thread is the oil fitting to turbo?

I had the autospecialist filter, it was crap, it leaked at engine and turbo, so i removed hose and fitted just the filter, which later worked loose pumping oil over a hot turbo.

i've had autospecialist and baileys, get a baileys one.
just fit a hose between engine and filter and filter and turbo, don't fit directly to turbo as the alloy can break.
i did mod one once and fitted a steel barrel fitting so it wouldn't snap in turbo, but needs original fitting cutting off and drill and tap a new thread, best just to fit another hose IMO.

I use a earls in line filter and a magnom as well, I haven't had any problems with my engine.

I suppose it is just risk management!

I have a fiesta RS turbo cvh I can send you pic of the pipework if you want.
