Default Anyone ever Microsquirted a cossy?

Hi all,
I'm curious to know if anyone has ever Microsquirted a Cosworth engine?
Can the original crank pulley be used to time the ecu or would i have to adapt a 36-1 wheel instead?
Thanks for any info.

Wouldn't have thought so, I don't see why you would want to?

No you will need a 36-1 trigger wheel.

When a standard fit L8 or P8 is so good, why fit something like that?

Spot on Karlos mate, i've got about 3 L8's, 1 super 8 injector L8 ecu but, although i live in Italy where the fekking things were originally made, no one can map the things anymore!
Weber ecus are great, but if i can't find anyone willing to remap i'll do it myself using Microsquirt or a similuer set-up.

If you have the right hardware and software it's fairly easy to edit the maps.

You will find many of the cheap DIY ecu setups are lower in spec to the original webber stuff.

Not sure on the microsquirt, but you can certainly configure a megasquirt to run with the standard 4 teeth pulley so long as you are on a dizzy, and I guess as there is a phase sensor in the dizzy it should be able to do coilpack if you use that as well.

To be honest you'd be better saving up and getting the car mapped by a professional.
