Default How brew inlet manifold

I was toying with the idea of making up a inlet manifold.Ive never made one before it would be a project I was thinking of making a drawing up and going from there,i would be limited to what metal I used though like stainless or mild steel.Has anyone ever made one out of this type of metal or no anybody that's done it?

Getting the flow right is vital.

There was a great thread on here where a student designed his own. Opened my eyes a bit for sure

there is a very real chance that without proper research and development you will no doubt end up with an inlet that flows worse than standard

Why not have a go mate, I made one for my yb fiesta as room was tight and I Couldn't get a hart one to fit. I just based mine on one if those but had the flow pipe at the top rather than the bottom. Here's a couple if pics.

You could still do that out of steel, there was 4 parts that made up mine. The flange was laser cut out of 12mm. Then the oval part in the middle was laser cut out of about 50mm thickness, then the end plate which we made out of 2 mfi cricket bat inlets. Then the tube slit and curved round. Sounds easy but alot of man hours. All in all it probably cost around £150 to make.
