Default any one made there own cosworth exh manifold ?

as above really , if so what size tube did you use type ect and pics
iv just ordered some 304 ss to make my flanges and loads of 1.3/4 " 1.5mm wall 304 but now thinking to change to 316
any input would be great

not sure why you would want to?, the standard one is very good especially the 2wd one

The stock one is average making a really nice manifold opens up all kinds of poss with turbo selection.

I would like to try to make one, just to see if I could and if it would make any differance in performance.

You need to change the turbo to really reap the benafits.

Thanks , basically want to make one because I can and my standered one is cracked , it also lets me place the turbo where I want and opens up turbo choice as mark said

I wouldn't use thin wall tube like you have for a turbo manifold. Especially not 304. 321 is usually up to the job with plenty of bracing, though considerably more expensive.
A better, and much cheaper, option is to use either 304 or 316 sch10.
Dependant on your specific goals, either 1.25" or 1.5" is the size to go for. Bare in mind that those are nominal bore sizes - actual internal diameter in larger (closer to 1.7" rather than 1.5").



How are you planning on welding it?

Beetlejuice thanks for the advice , so 316 or 321 sch10 1.5 , will be tig welding using 316 filler with argon purge ,
ALG1K can i ask where you got ur flange, im having to have mine made because i cant seem to find any for sale in the uk!

I had a pair of flanges made by a local jet cutting company
They cost Ł70 each
The steel cost Ł350 to my door

Its only a 40 ,
