i was close to mk2 frs but not for me as a daily car, too cheap inside and boring inside.

great to look at outside. will have one as second car when they are 10k.

Really? While I love the Mk2 ST, the new ST is fantastic! They sound great, handle really well, and go very well (especially when tweaked a little). They also (IMO) feel a lot more planted than the Mk2, and not only are they quicker they're massively better on fuel too...

Rory, sound like your pretty sold on a new ST, I think it's a good choice, would do everything you wanted it too and it's a sporty Ford. Good all rounder, gets my vote

Anything like this tempt you?

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...r-auto/1915637

Love them or hate them (or just think them to be a bit chavvy/tacky) if i had £20k to get rid of it would go on an ultimate green MK2 FRS.

I was going to suggest an E90 M3 sallon the other day, but from you wrote I really don't thinkm you'd like the fuel costs, real life mpg is always shitter than quoted factory figures. Couple of my mates have had them and they get similar mpg to my M5 (16-18mpg). Nice cars though.

I do like the st, I'm hesitant about 20k on a focus but if a nice spirit blue st3 with the right extras pops up I'm ready to buy....might give it 3 months to see if they drop a bit

Mk2 RS all the way for that money. Big boot space, Lux 2 has all the toys, performance and economy is good with a map. Im running Revo 4+ on mine and in return I get 23mpg with mixed driving.

P.S im bored with mine but there is nothing in that price bracket to replace it with IMO. Ive heard through the grapevine that Ford will be issuing a release date for the new RS early next year but if its anything like the ST its one to avoid sadly.
