Default car covers

Apparently is damn cold in the UK and my dads asked me to get some car covers sorted for my cars whilst I'm away. Can anyove recommend anything? Will the 15 quid eBay jobbies keep the frost off and there water out? Also what about sizes? I need one for a jag xk8, a mk2 cortina and a mk1 escort so they vary quite a lot in size.

I don't have a clue tbh.

Joe.

I wouldn't bother it will cause more damage than good, they can actually totally ruin the paint work, would be better off not covering them.

I'd look at something else apart from a cover

classic additions do the best covers but if you can get power to them use an outdoor carcoon, or as above just wax and leave

Ta i'll look online. Problem is i'm halfway across the world with 2 old fords that aren't watertight the jag is his and a soft top but he wants it covered to save the damp getting in anyway.

i'll have a look. tbh i know he won't go to the bother of driving his car into one of those tents, cos he uses it most weekends still. but my two are going to ly dormant for another 6 months at least and he said the escort is damp

The outdoor Carcoon looks like a nice bit of kit but does it have to stay plugged in 24/7? i presume it does does anyone have one and know the costs of running it at all?

Specialised covers storm shield. Anyone who says they've wrecked car with a cover has either had shite paintwork or a shite cover.

I've used outdoor covers for 6 years with no issues.
