Good choices I'd say,

me- mk2 escort 4 door, early impreza uk turbo2000 (standard as possible) and maybe a fiesta rs1800i

 

Theres no way an RS1600 is worth as little as £4,000. You'd be looking into £20,000+ im no expert though.

 

RS1600i i think he means, and would get my vote if its un molested and un restored in good condition in early spec/early interior

 

For me, either a BMW M3, Subaru Impreza type R not sure about the third, ill get back to you after a think

 

I'd go for XR4i, fiesta super sport mk1, and prob capri 2.8i

 

E36 m3 gt2 ( although this might be out of budget )

Renault Clio 182 rs trophy.

200sx touring. ( has to be standard )

 

Saff cossie.. Fezza rs turbo sierra xr4x4 v6.

 

ive gota impreza rb5 which would prob be a good choice aswell

 

You'd have to find a supersport first lol


Yeah i meant rs1600i pick up a half decent one for 4k still not for long though i guess

 

Others would be nova GTE, 309 goodwood and maybe a 205 gti hard to think on the spot!

I think you'd struggle to get a 16i or fiesta supersport for £4k that were worth keeping as an investment car.

Maybe a Mk5 escort RS2000 4x4 but that would be a struggle to get an unmolested low mileage minter

Mind you there was a flat for sale in Blackburn a few months back for £5k,didn't even look old but I'm guessing a less than salubrious location.
Watched it on the one show.
One had sold for £11k in 2011 so not a really "wealthy" suburb.
