just been flicking thro this months fast ford and there is a few pics of his old btcc car

my question is what wheels are on it?

they lok to me like rs 7 spokes that have been machined to accept a centre locker

anyone shed some light as im now searching ebay for 7 spokes

They were special wheels that Dick johnson had cast for his own cars

I believe he sold some to Peter Brock as they are also fitted to the Mobil 1 car

They were copied by another team a few years later

The design mimicked the aftermarket 7 spoke alloy wheels Ford were selling at the time. DJR had them made, I believe to give better brake clearance than the BBS 3 piece wheels. Probably a stiffer design too. They have DJR cast in the front face

A company in Australia called Simmonds made a lot of wheels for the aussie RS500s, not sure if they made the DJR ones though, but worth a google and an email
