For the majority of quotes of the modern "modifier", being mentioned on this thread - you can blame edition38 and stancenation (and the likes of)!!
The teenyboppers coming through now actually dont have a single clue at what they are doing...so they juat follow the sheep and the sheep are following the scene trend and like i say, its down to the tinterweb forums/websites i mentioned above!!

Its just dangerous it don't handle correctly and the government wonder why there is so many young drivers killed. Back in the day we would be lucky to have 100bhp and then we would fit wider tyres and spax shocks to aid handling. Now they have more power no handling sat on bump stops heavy steering. nuff said.

i seem to remember back in the day black plastic rear windscreen louvres were all the rage so it isn't a new thing trying to make a car look good but not suceeding. oh and 2 furry dice hanging from the rear view mirror were more importantant than the tax disc. dave and mary lettering or such like on the sun strip were also a must. massive 6 ft long fibreglass aeriels aswell, all the best people had these colour coded to the vehicle, and looked realy cool on a green morris marina. yeah, i realy miss the good old days.
