ABS light again
Hi all, Step daughters 2004 focus 1600 abs light is on. She took it to local tyre depot place who diagnosed NSF sender. Changed for a new one and thought I had fixed it as went round the block and light went out.
She drove home and rang saying light came on after about 2 miles again.
Going down there on Thursday to give it another looking over.
Has anybody anything else I can check? Going to check fluid level and sensor whilst there.

Hi and thanks for the replies.
1) No not done anything at the back.
2) Replaced with pattern part although tried cleaning the orig 1st with similar results ie light went out then came back on again.
Just thinking, do the sensors pick up from the bearing and if so can it be dirt and how do you clean them? I am more used to gear type of abs ring.
Think I may try cleaning all the sensors starting with fronts.Is there a test for the sensors using a multi meter?

There are magnets behind the inner seal of the front wheel bearings.
Could be a wiring issue from the sensor plug back to the module.
Check the wiring and multiplugs.

These should have voltage to the sensors from the loom.
Active sensors are used to determine the rotational speeds of the wheels at the hub. After the ignition is switched on, the ABS module supplies the sensors with power. The sensors work in accordance with the Hall effect principle and generate a square wave output signal. The signal acts in proportion to the rotational speed of the sensor ring.
