Default Heat problem with engine starting

Has anyone ever had a problem with starting there car with a 4 to 1 exhaust right nxt to there starter motor? My starter motor is short in length and its sat right nxt to the exhaust manifold I think there is a couple of mm gap between them both. When its cold its fine but ive noticed the car warms up rather quickly with this manifold on and when it gets red hot in the engine bay the car wont start again.Seems a silly question but worth an ask

Starter motors don't like heat.
Get the down pipe wrapped.

What car is it?
And how hot is red hot? Is the coolant temp high?

Its red hot the 4 to 1 manifold plays a big part in it.The gauge doesn't take long to reach temperature.i can bend my earth cable when it gets hot as well lol.i don't think bonnet raisers are gonna help on this one.Its a mk4 fiesta but ive fitted a 2 litre blacktop in it
