Static noise problem

Static noise problem
I have a Harmon Kardon set up in my Mini Cooper and everything was working then all of a sudden the rear speakers started making a really loud static type of noise. The music is still being played through them but the static noise is constantly there whether I play cd or radio. The front speakers are fine. Any ideas folks?
