I'm running one but doubt you'd get 400 on a stock inlet or the rover. Custom plenum would be the way forward. But I will say a cossie throttle body fits the rover inlet. Get some Siemens injectors and a decent management sorted and it won't be too bad. Go forged internals not budget decomp plate if your chasing that much power

rsmark86 and karlosG would be telling you to go st170 bottom end and blacktop head for easy 300 which is excellent advice and much more realistic for the price. But I really couldn't tell you what you would need on that setup to reach 400

What about an uprated fuel pump? Vac lines? Breather set up? Oil feeds oil returns? Turbo lines? Temp sensors? Gaskets?
Personally I wouldn't bother with the trouble of boring to 2.1. I just think you'll struggle, seriously with a silvertop going 400
Ask Karlos about parts required for th st170 route. Your more than likely gonna end up going that way in all fairness. And for a lot less money I'd think about settling for 300. But I'm all for people trying so give it ago. Only person that's gonna stop you is yourself

Silver and blacktop are double overhead cam. Just black top being slightly newer and revised but even then lacks some attributes of the silvertop. And as for oil pumps, it's either fit a brand new ford item or go dry sump.
Really is a shame no ones built a stronger unit

Only way you'll safely see 400+ is with a steel bottom end, standard crank is fine bar getting everything balanced up. I don't think a HO inlet can flow it but I may be wrong, better off to just go with a plenum from Crazycage or one of the big tuners.

There's no mistaking it is a very very good inlet! Perfect length runners good size plenum and very free flowing. Plus I love the way it looks on the zetec
