I've done a hpi on my own car and it says it was scrapped in 2008? I've rang deal amd they say they have no record of that but the Experian hpi check say they got the I for from dvla?

 

it also says it was stolen but not recovered, but again dvla say it was but been recovered

 

DVLA doesnt like to share info and does give companys incorrect info inc the police sometimes.

 

just bloody annoying as if it does tv et changed if I come to sell the car will look terrible haha

 

HPI have got it wrong a few times IMO. I bought a ka years ago knowing full well it was damaged/repaired and recorded,even had the vcar printout.
I bought a 5 pack of hpi's on a deal and had literally a day to claim the last one so shoved the reg in for fun complete with chassis number.
Came back totally clear.
Had issues with a cossie back in the 90's,showed up as clear but had been written off,too late I'd already bought it,tried claiming off them and some Asian boy basically told me to fuck off.
Never mattered as the cars were worth so little back then it got broke eventually for bits and shell scrapped.
