Default wet fuse box help :(

What are the chances that if I dry out my wet fuse box it might be ok?

I would do that regardless of chance. May as well whilst you're waiting for your new one.

It might be ok short term, however once corrosion sets in then expect more and more electrical gremlins. What's it wet with? Rain water?

what car?

if it's the older style fuse box that you can pull apart then get ready for loads of work but it is doable, i've done it before

if it's the later fancy fusebox then it may be more of an issue

yeah its rain water in a mk6 escort gti. headlights are messing around like mad they keep turning on when the car isn't even on lol. its drained my battery so I've disconnected the fuse box and a couple of the pins had a bit brown rusty corrosion on them.

unusual that stu as normally mk6s are good in the fuse box area, but if water is getting in then defo dry it before even trying it as it will ark out circuits for sure or just get another fuse box as they are cheap as chips for the mk6 and I may even have one kicking around

If it's under a warranty then would they cover repairs to the damaged fuse box too?

I had it redone this morning the wiring had snapped and there is a pin prick rust hole where the sealer goes. I'm pretty sure that he should of noticed that the first time he fitted it lol. And yeah they are bonded in mate.
