Default Need help quick

Hi my brake callipers are screwed need some new ones its a 1987 capri 2litre front callipers I'm in Devon and having trouble finding them also do the 2.8i callipers fit ????

You want to be looking for these numbers
Brake Engineering CA138 & CA138R
XL XC80284 & XC80285
Remy DC80284 & DC80285
Lucus BCW168 & BCW169

I think the calipers from a 2.8 would be different because of the different disc sizes and thickness.

I have spoken to spoken to the bloke that has the 2.8 calipers an he said they will go straight on and they're m16s :/ bit confused tbh

Just had a look in a brake book and the Discs for a 2.0 are 245 diameter solid disc with a 27mm offset and the 2.8 are 245 vented 32mm offset and 2 of the caliper books say they are different.

Only way to be sure is to offer them up as it may only be the caliper carrier what is different.

Im only going by aftermarket books.

Someone else might be able to put us right.
