Turbine housing differences..
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has ever done any tests on the newer style Garrett turbine housings for back pressure.
I'm talking about the .36, .48, .63A/R type with built in wastegate penny.
Would the sharpish curve hurt exhaust flow? this especially applies to the escort cos. A/R-.63 version that has the lambda boss/thread right into the exhaust stream.
Is it worth getting the non penny'd version that's straight through, seeing as my engine has a separate wastegate?
The problem is finding this particular version cheaply as opposed to the penny'd version I've got a shelf full of or should I just weld the penny shut and have done?
Thanks.
