Does anybody know the name of the putty like stuff that can often be found between panels on a car?

I've been googling but all that comes up is body filler, however it wants to be something that wont harden and crack.

 

Think it's called dum dum black in colour isn't it.

 

I think that might be the stuff. I wasn't aware that it came in strips.

The putty I removed from the car was a light cream colour like body filler but it was soft and flexible.

 

Yeah I had some 3M stuff few years back that was in strips in a long box was a light colour
Try asking a 3M rep or paint surplyers.

 

I think the stuff you are looking for is seam sealer theres differnt types for different applications, or tiger seal do a range of sealents but that shit is messy
