Tbh I am loving the scoob it's a awesome bit of kit for a std car it goes better than my stage 3 3 door. Well off the line and bends but not straight line speed lol and I am really enjoying driving it prob cos I ain't drove the Cossie for a while

I hope I don't fall out with the Cossie an neglect it cos I am having too much fun in the scooby and can't keep them both as I fit a Beemer as well and the mrs has a Beemer too so can't keep 4 cars at home lol

Get a direct bolt on VF series (vf28/vf30/vf35 etc) turbo off ebay, walbro drop in and a remap. Then she'll come alive. Actually, don't if you want to keep the cossie.

The UK turbo Imprezas are pretty down on power standard but a couple of mods off an sti chucked on and a remap they'll do 320bhp easy enough. Mind you, there is something about the UK cars. I've had loads of Imprezas inc jdm sti's etc and a good UK model is a cracking little car. I've still got one that I've had a few years now, last of the line, 2001 in Mica red. Such a bargain at the moment (hence why I'm not selling mine)

After a string of cosworth s and a mk2 frs I bought a version 6 sti limited, wouldn't look at a ford again after driving it.i know they have years of development between them but the impreza is such a better car all round.

Nice car the V6 STI, just watch that bottom end! Keep her well serviced with high quality oil and make sure it's topped up. I'd use octane booster and decent super unleaded too, unless you've had it remapped?

I remember going from a 4x4 cossie to an Impreza 15 years ago and was blown away, mostly from the handling ie the high speed cornering and letting off didn't feel unsettled etc. But, as you say they are a generation apart and it's not really a fair fight to compare them. I guess they are 10 years apart in terms of development. Cossies are still special to me and always will be.

I have a widetrack jdm sti as a daily and it's superb but the 3 door still has more rawness about it so I don't get bored of it. But I would sell the Beemer and keep the 3 door and the sub then get it upped to over 300bhp and enjoy both of them

Tidy looking car that, TBH I think they are an absolute bargain, you can get a nice impreza for under Ł2k, cant think of many quicker point to point cars that are that cheap.
