Default What steering lock? (security)

As above. currently using a stop lock (grey and yellow bar) on the cossie.

but thinking to upgrade to a full disc lock.
Hear theyre hassle to fit everytime but its not a daily so doesnt really bother me.

Any better ones out there or is this the tried and tested best?

Not really. You get used to fitting them regularly anyway.

i use a disklock with extra plates welded on so it cant be prised off
and a van lock welded on the front like they have on rear van doors.
probably takes 10 secs to fit so i dont see how thats a hassle if it helps deter the thieves.

Used a Disclock on my old FRST for years, great detterent and once modified a complete bastard too get off.

I have a disk lock. Just watch your fingers if you do get one. A mini guillotine it is.

have you thought of the barier systems gear lock ?

They do a chassis mounted lock that locks the gears into reverse. that are Very difficult to get around! That were one of the few that were Thatcham approved and not beaten.

Could someone who has info on how to modify the disk locks pm me the info please, loads people have said do it but not actually sure on what to do. cheers
