Default Fitting a Double Din DVD player to my focus

Hey guys,

I bought this DVD player over the weekend to go in my 2003 mk1 ford focus.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2310224313...84.m1439.l2649

I didn't really want to buy an expensive one as its just for the kids to watch when we are out and about so a nice cheap one from hong kong will do.

Are the easy enough to fit..? I've read somewhere that the focus dash isn't a double din so modifications are needed to make it fit. If this is the case what will i need?

Has anyone fit one to there car before..?

Thanks in advance and sorry if its been asked before and i sound like a simpleton.

Buy one of these... or similar, and fit it. It will be a lot less aggro than trying to cut your dash apart.

Some of the cheaper headunits like that one don't come with cages, so you'll somehow have to get one that will fit, otherwise it will be tricky to stop it from falling out.

If you're lucky it will come with an ISO connector. If so get a Ford to ISO connector like this But most likely it will come with bare wires, so you'll need to either spur it into the current loom, or get any Ford connector, and wire it into that so you can remove it.

Hey, thanks.

Is this the kind of kit then? It's £45 instead of the £75

One the description it says it comes with an ISO connector so should all be fine. You don't have to cut away anything behind the dash do you..?
