i cant figure out where its coming from!

i get a metal on metal knocking sound when i go over bumps in my vr6, ive checked all bolts are tight and checked for play and everything seems stiff etc...... i have replaced in the last few weeks -

roll bar drop links
suspension top rubber mounts
track rod ends
both front wheel bearings
ball joints on lower arms.

any ideas as its pissing me off and mot is in 4 days!

Could it not be the engine mount?

Exhaust mountings? Or even a heat shield?

could it be something like the rear suspension trailing arm / twist beam knocking against the exhaust?

i should of been a bit more specific!

its knocking after i had the offside front wheel bearing done yesterday but cant feel no play and everything is tight??

I had nearly the same thingin my vr6, as i stop to go over the bump there was a metal clunk sound... Turned out to be the left hand gear box mount. They look ok until you bar the mount and move it.

Fucked shocky would also knock if its got no resistance and just bottoms out.

Take it for the MOT and let them find it

You haven't over tightened the wheels bearings have you

There a tapered bearing on them
I know u probably know this but just a thought
