New, old Fiesta
Hi
Just bought myself a W reg Fiesta 1.25 LX
I will be checking all the brakes, as I believe the car has been off the road for some time.
Any tips? Its low 65,000 miles, needs an oil change. Might get the local MOT station to have a look at it, the MOT runs out in Nov, so no rush.

If you know a decent garage then just have them give it the once over, but if you don't, make sure they don't create a list of jobs for themselves!!
Personally I would change the oil and oil filter, new air filter and then just check the brake pipes for signs of corrosion and take it easy for the first few days to make sure it runs ok.

Thanks, I am thinking about doing that. I have checked the tyres, to find that one is a different size to the rest. Three tyres are 165/70/13, the other one is 155/80, and no spare.
Do I assume that 165/70 is the right size
I dont need the car straight away, so the check at the local garage can wait.
