Default Removing Window Tint.

Has anyone removed window tint from there car, if so what's the best method?

Is it best to apply heat or remove and hope it doesn't leave much glue.....my main concern is the rear screen as I don't want to lose the heater elements.

Any advice is appricated.

ive done a couple. Just get a start by picking one of the corners and it comes off quite easily. To remove any residue i use a solvent based cleaner lightly applied to a cloth .

Warm it up a bit to soften the glue then peel carefully. The glue can be a complete nightmare to get off, on windows that roll down you have to get it all out of the seals and from down below the bottom edge or it will cause the window to stick. I ended up taking the front glass out to completely clean the glue off.

Autosmart tardis would be good for a rear window I'd have thought as it isn't too harsh, spray it on the glass, leave it 5 minutes, then wash off.
