Default how to stop it rusting??!!

I've been looking at previous discussions on waxoiling etc and there seems to be a mixed response.

Is waxoil a bad thing thing to put on the underside of my 3door, its been painted white underneath but i'm worried about it rotting out over the winter months

so i was going to clean it off and spray it with the clear waxoil

is this the best thing or is there something else i should be doing to it?

Any help is greatly appreciated

I was talking to Moorland Classics yesterday about the same topic, as the underside of my one has been paitned white, too...

They recommend taking off the arch liners, and pressure blasting off any grime under the car. They then let the car dry for a few days to ensure they don't end up trapping water in with the Waxoil. They then apply as much wax oil as they can. They also inject it into sills and chassis arms etc.

It certainly seems to work for them.

Best of luck.

Whilst i have never used the clear Waxoil myself, I have only heard good things.

BTW: Moorland Classics charge £250+VAT for the entire job.

sills full of waxoil certainly makes it interesting if you forget and do a bit of welding.
