will be taking my car off the road soon as im breaking it, still has the private reg on and a friend is interested in buying it from me.

how do I go about it this? what paperwork/fees are involved

do it before the cars off the road, and wait for confirmation its all done, as dvla may want to see the car, had to take mine to them on a low loader!

You can get a form from the post office and basically just fill it in, £80 and send it off

or go to your local DVLA office, they'll do it all over the counter as long as you've got all the right documentation. your nearest one's in Newcastle
