0-60mph in 4.2 seconds sounds very optimistic

a lot of car for the money now. cost a fortune to carry out the conversion when new.
v6 twin turbo makes it very quick and driveable. dont know about figures but scarabman on here has a similar engine spec and pulls low 4sec 0-60.

it goes from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, it is a really, really fast sierra, but pretty expensive. 2.9 twin turbo, al special built with the best parts available, zytec ecu (like the F1 used!), about as fast as a ferrari f40, faster than most big spec cossies... on fordpower is a lot of more info to be found on them, and a few owners (non k1 i believe, they just have a turbo technics built xr4x4 2.9 twin turbo, but with the minker spec engine), dave is rebuilding his 2.9 twin turbo to really big spec, should have at least 500 bhp and very much low torque!

Rare old beast I kind of like the look apart from the from bumper. Autocar did a test of a minker 323 against a bbr 300hp 4x4 cosworth, they were fairly equal up to 100mph where after the Cossie left it!

I am lucky enough to have owned a 250 bhp tt xr4x4, and a 330 bhp cossie back to back. And i have to say, up to 100 mph, there is not a lot in it.

i changed from a 200bhp turbo technics sierra to a 210bhp at the wheels sapph cos and was disapointed with the cossie. i think the v6 2.8 is transformed with the turbo added, makes it very driveable, there are limitations to tuning the v6 though.

I had a xr4i tt230 and a fairly standard 2wd saff at the same time and the xr4 definetly had the legs low down with more torque and sure it would pull away low down but up and running didn't think there was much in it.
I bet the minkers were very impressive.
