Most of the time we create our own issues, wanting to do this and that and get a bit more power etc and change parts for blingy fancy bits. If we all just left them alone they would probably all be fairly issue free

Lol,

So true, I've amazed myself with this one i have tbh, all I've bought is wheels, you know my track record Ern they've usually got Autronic, Turbo, brakes etc etc on by now

I've finally learnt at 47yrs of age leave them B, if it ain't broke don't fix it mate is how i work now.

I've spunked thousands over the yrs, not anymore I'm just going to enjoy it.

Mind you, I'd made my mind up i was going to pay the bit more this time for a minter and one that was already done Ern, it's got all the bits it needs on it

AP,s
live Mapped,
TT T35/55
Cooler
Bla bla

Makes a huge difference as there's a few grand there already

And that is why we buy them after all, to enjoy. Like Ive said before my next one, its inevitable , will be nothing more than an averagely modded half tidy motor that Im going to leave alone and actually enjoy it and use it as much as I can. I do get a semi over yours though mate, I do enjoy a nice Moonstone Sapph

Bummer

I wouldn't like to think how much money I've thrown at Mine, if I had to start adding it up it would make me depressed

I could have bought a sick 3dr with the money that's been wasted,

So excuse me while I just go sob in the corner uncontrollably

you forget that the" 3dr cosworths" was made for racing the saff was made family saloon.... it had geometry revise , stiffer spring stiffer shell , different antri roll bars
it also had better striaght line stabilty due to the front anit roll bar had more castor

the Rs500 drives just as good as the saff as that had the Saff front anti roll bar H13

you guys need to put the saff anti roll bar on your 3dr and you will see the diffeance trust me ive owned 3drs alot longer than you lot and no lot about how to make them handle

thats my 2 pence worth anyway

I have a H13 front anti roll bar on my 3 door , more stable at high speeds and turns in a hell of alot better . Noticed the difference as soon as it was fitted and ive had the car 10 years

I don't want to upset anyone or cause an argument but the rs500 and 2wd sapphire were equiped with the H14 roll bar
as were the later 3 doors

On the bar where it goes through the tca on the drivers side you will see the stamp Mat.

Not all 500s left tickford with the H14, mine certainly didn't, its still on its original H13 3dr one.

I bet quite a few escaped the swap over in the last few days as they rushed to get them finished by the 1st August deadline

Mileage dont mean a thing in the age where battery drills could knock 5k miles off in the touch of the trigger. So easy to wind the milage back on a old ford. So much money at stake on the cosworths the temptation would always be there to keep the value up. very wrong and illegal but as i say if its low and mint you would be keeping your investment.
