hi i have a ford mondeo 52 plate tdci, and it started to play up on saturday, but now when i turn it over the coil light is flashing and has hardly any revs that take ages to come up, and also pumps alot of white smoke of the back when i push the accerlater pedel. can anyone help?

Could be the EGR valve or the injectors by the sounds of it

Get the codes read. Hopefully its not the injectors

i had a 2 of the injectors replaced last year

sounds like another injector has gone down tbh esp with hard starting and excessive smoke.need codes read as said to see what one it is

does anyone know where i can buy new injectors from? fault code comes up as excessive knocking from cylinder 3

If you've replaced two, then the other two will be on their last lege. Would be best to replace the ones you haven't already replaced.

Please be aware that once you've got the knocking fault code the code has to be completely erased before you can recode the new injector. Not all garages have the capability to do it properly, so I'd strongly advise going to a diesel specialist, and not just to a local garage.

Yep, as Dan said, likely injector but could be the plugs themselves or EGR failure, the latter being more likely on later mk3s. Worth ringing your local dealer, we plug in to IDS and do a diagnostic for the cost of half hours labour.
