Default Escort RS Turbo smoke problem technical advise needed badly

Hi everyone I have a series 2 escort RST
The problem I'm having is that it keeps smoking blue I'm told from people following, not major though but I have a brand new hybrid turbo, new basic engine rebuild ie piston rings, valve stem seals, bearings ect so what could be causing this smoke? I have slightly overfilled the oil could this be why? And there is some oil in boost hoses and intercooler I can't get rid of, please help Im so stuck!

When does it smoke? On boost? On start up? When you let off?
Who built your engine?

Also when you say over filled the oil, it's not holding 10 litres or something is it?

Apparently it's just now and then, coz the person following me told me and I never saw it, it does a bit on start up I noticed as well, no I overfilled it just over the max on the dip stick, maybe a extra half litre to a litre?

It can only be a few things to cause blue smoke

Turbo
Rings
Worn bores
Steam seals
Guides

Just cos something is new don't means its not fucked

The bores was honed in the rebuild and I replaced the rest, do you think it's coz oil is a little over filled? This is doing my head in lol, thing is as well it's not using oil on the dip stick either??

if the old turbo was smoky, it could be old oil in the boost hoses/intercooler. my new turbo still leaves oil in the boost hoses and if the temp gets sky high, it will smoke fore a second on start up. if your worried, clean the hoses/intercooler out and see how it goes. knackered rings would equate to smoking all the time? what oil/grade you using?

I would say get some degreaser and flush out all the boost hoses inter cooler
And maybe the exhaust

Worth doing a compression test also as its easy and can tell you a lot

im ususing the same oil, I get smoke if the water temp is well over 110, on start up the following time out. sould be stem seals/guides but in my case I changed the stem seals. im going to try 15w50 mobil one if I can find any. tbh, if she sound good and runs nicelyi wouldn't worry about it. it was really pissing me off but a year later its running spot on. 15w50 might cure it
