I think for the intelligent people amongst us it will make a trip to the ring safer if you have some track knowledge before you go!

Personally I think Top Gear's article has encourages more wannabe heroes, even my dad was talking about going with his mates in a Sunbeam Tiger V8

dont think i can blame sony but anyone who thinks they can handle the ring after playing a game isnt right in the first place a few brews short of a six pack comes to mind.

computer games are just games doesnt matter how realistic or arcade like they seem its just In Home Entertainment.

I think more people should be encouraged to go track days an learn, gain experience and have a real thrill, saying sony or top gear are responsible is rubbish were all responsible for our own actions if your stupid you pay the price.

There is only one thing that counts on the Nordschleife - experience. IMHO computer games are more of a hindrance to learning how to get around a circuit quickly. At the first rush of adrenaline the year you spent caning the playstation pad will be a distant memory, you will be left with sweating palms and hopefully the feeling that you had better take it easy. If you don't, you must really be la-la - in which case you'r more than likely to fly out of a bend and be towed out before facing a hefty fine - much to the amusemnt of onlookers, and hatred from the other drivers whose day you have ruined due to the time it takes to remove your sorry car from the track and clean up the debris of your chep plastic bodykit that is strewn everywhere.

On a lighter note - blinding weather today - if it continues like this the Easter WE will be a cracker.
