My 89 2wd Cossie had an electric sunroof, looked factory but I reckon it was fitted after. Also had the a/c fan switch. This was fitted to a 2wd dash board.
I cant remember if my J reg XR4x4 had an electric sunroof mind..

This definitely had a Sierra cowling around the sunroof switch mind.
Is the a/c any good? I've always heard that its not that good?

the sierra mechanism is the same as the granada's and the granada's came with 2 different splines, corse and fine so you can get them to fit not a problem
some roofs will need some "finesing" to get the bracket to fit and there is some conflicting advice as to what fits and what doesn't
just remember to get the bracket from the sierra and everything else will fit just fine
getting one from the granada may not fit as the granda ones sat at a different angle

My J Reg one probably had one then - It was 2002 when I last owned it so details like that are sketchy

i think i've got several motors floating about the garage as well, but no brackets

PassionFord Post Whore!!
I only ever tried to get the gear from one Granada and left with only the motor because chiselling the bracket off the roof destroyed it!
I then got the bolt-in kit from a Sierra and swapped the drive cog from the Granada motor (can't recall why the motor wasn't a straight swap but I must have had a reason for doing the swap?)

Is it better than having to put the windows down? lol. Modern a/c will be miles better than older cars anyway, more efficient pumps etc. I bet its still better than no a/c though

Also there is a difference on the relay set up between early and late versions and the really early mk2's have a slightly different skin to the later ones requiring some modifications to be carried out to the inner skin, but is all possible
