Chip,
No problem..... only like to be called a "Window licking tosser" by my Dad! So I got a bit emotional!

Martin,
I hit the rev limiter at least once when I owned it thank you!

think powerstation were the only ones to rag the car - you not got a vid of your facial expressions as it was run up - can imagine the fear LOL

Not nice to hear, but it is only a diff - I just heard this morning that my old three-door was stolen, stripped and burnt after I sold it. Thieving pikey coonts.

It was posted on here when it was taken, moonstone three-door robbed from a bodyshop in Abingdon, didn't realise it was my old one until I spoke to the new owner this morning.

Treat your cars like you treat birds i reckon.
Get in them as often as possible, thrash them to within an inch of their life, and ram them into reverse when ever you feel like it

Lee,
Behave...... that one time was when it was in neutral!!!!

Steve,
I tried that, but Curtis can't use Excel!

Martin,
For once in your life you are correct!

But I insisted they could only rev it to 7k as it had to be run up in 5th (due to traction issues) and I had some mental block about my car doing over 175mph on a set of rollers!

On a serious note I had NEVER been this protective of ANY previous car and the Escort Cossies I had owned regulary had the nads thrashed off them down Santa Pod etc..... strange really (the first one I owned did over 50 runs down the spod).

Martin,

I went to see Simon (my partner in crime on Scoobynet) last week at Prodrive while on my lunch break. He said "Have you come in the Scooby?".... I said "Ermmmm.... it's in the garage at home!!" lol

But I have done more miles in the Scooby in the past 4 weeks than in the previous 12 months of the 500!

Rich,
No thanks....... on with the new now. Why have an 18yr old fcar stood still in the garage, when I now have a 2yr old one!

[quote="Fagin"]

I have heard through the grapevine that the new owner of my RS500 took it down Santa Pod yesterday and it went bang.

By all accounts the Diff shot it's bolt!

I'd love to know who the new owner is....... as he obviously needs a brain transfusion running 500bhp with a standard diff on a standing start!

I have a suspicious feeling this car will not stay mint for too much longer! :

New owner speaking, only got one thing to say about your comment of me having no brain....

It must be catching, cause you must be the dumbest MF going for spending all that money and not getting one of the most important, vital and basic components of the car done!

Anyway while i'm having MY RS500 properly (how it should of been done in the first place) modified Diff, I will just have to settle for driving my skyline down to Sainsbury's for BANANAS!!!

Yours Sincerley

ROFLOL - oh god I have been IMA'D Have never claimed to be a "good" driver anywhere currently driving Focus ST170 everyday - nice car on country roads but no power - I ran an ex hillclimb championship prepped 190hp westfield for last year which probably did more miles than any of your cossies LOL Year before that a sunny GTiR that managed a 12.2 1/4 and that was run as it was in everyday spec which was used for work etc. for the 4 years before that used my cossie on the road in all sort of different specs never letting me down once. In between I have been lucky enough to get to use family cars such as BMW M5, 540 and TVR etc...

Yeah life sucks

Enough of a rise for you I think lol wanker
